The Halberd
A halberd (also called halbert or Swiss voulge) is a two-handed pole weapon that came to prominent use during the 14th and 15th centuries. Possibly the word halberd comes from the German words Halm (staff), and Barte (axe) - in modern-day German, the weapon is called Hellebarde. The halberd consists of an axe blade topped with a spike mounted on a long shaft. It always has a hook or thorn on the back side of the axe blade for grappling mounted combatants(cavalry).
War Hammer
A war hammer is a late medieval weapon of war intended for close combat action. The design if it resemble a regular hammer except that it is longer. A war hammer has a handle and a head.The handle may be of different lengths, the longest being roughly equivalent to the halberd(type of spear/axe), and the shortest about the same as a mace. Long war hammers were pole weapons (polearms) meant for use against horse riders, whereas short ones were used in closer quarters and from horseback
The Mace
a mace is a simple weapon, it consists of a heavy head and a long handle. Maces are used for bashing ,smashing,and demolishing. A mace can just be a simple club or a bat. A mace's shaft is often made of wood reinforced with metal, it could also be made of just metal.The head of a military mace can be shaped with flanges or knobs to allow greater penetration of plate armor. The length of the mace will very depending on what rank solider you are. The maces of foot soldiers were usually quite short (two or three feet, or 70 to 90 cm).The maces of cavalrymen were longer so it was better suited for blows delivered from horseback Mace is also a type of pepper spray.
The military flail
The military flail is a hand weapon in which the handle is attached to the striking part of a weapon by a flexible chain or cord. There are different models of the flail. Some flails are used for gardening, some are for fighting and some are for throwing. Different models are nunchaku or a ball flail mabey even some maces.
